How to use CeLLS learning materials

The project aims to change the way in which Life Sciences learning and teaching takes place in colleges and universities by collaboratively creating online materials that can be used in a variety of teaching contexts, e.g. lectures, tutorials, self-study, etc. The materials produced by the project will support a move towards a more student-centred, self-paced style of learning, which is enhanced and reinforced by the use of online materials in blended-learning.

A key goal of the project is to produce flexible learning materials that are relatively non-prescriptive in terms of pedagogic approach. The aim is to empower the learner, giving them the opportunity to organise and engage in their learning in the way that suits them best. To achieve this student-centred approach, we have developed dynamic, e-content resources that can be used flexibly at both college and university level.
