Videoconferencing

A collection of technologies that integrate video with audio and to some extent, data sharing, to enable communication and meetings between particpants at physically separated sites. Either IP or ISDN networks are used to carry the audio and video streams with participants having a camera(s), microphone(s) and speakers. The Access Grid provides a more advanced form of videoconferencing, using better quality display and integrating other forms of data sharing, helping to provide a more immersive experience for participants.
